this devkit uses only software implementations of all serial interfaces other than UART. SLAB3 is an experiment in impetuOS driver chaining and the effects on the system level speed.

on boot, SLAB3 currently runs the same impetuOS software as SLAB1 but in receiver mode as there is no environment sensor
